Are you trying to make money blogging?

Blogging has emerged as the most popular way of making money online in the last few years. As we know that like every other niche blogging is also constantly evolving, traditional text blogging these days is being replaced by Video blogging, micro-blogging has gained a huge popularity in 2009 but blogging still tops the majority of “How to make money online” lists.

According to Technorati State of blogosphere report 2009, there has been a staggering growth of 68% in the number of blogs as compared to 2008 which are trying to monetize their traffic in one way or another. The report also reveals that the popularity of Google Adsense has decreased from 67% in 2008 to 47% in 2009 which means that the bloggers are heading towards other ad publishing networks and affiliate companies to monetize their traffic.

It means that 2 out of every 3 bloggers are trying to earn money from their blogs.

Now are the majority of bloggers able to make any good money through blogs?

No! And we all know that.

Most of us (including me) are unable to make decent amount of money blogging.  Why?

Even though you update the content, have keywords in the title tags, do link building, comment on other blogs, and your traffic is increasing, but you don’t make enough money, not even 5% of that amount which Probloggers like Darren Rowse, Erik Schoenfeld, Brian Clark are earning.

The Answer is Simple YOU don’t have the Credibility.

Will your readers buy the products recommended by you if they don’t have trust on you? No they won’t. To convince them to buy those products, you need to build some reputation amongst them so that they can count on your opinions when they take a decision to buy something.

How to build credibility?

Credibility is not something which can be built overnight so don’t rush it. You have to earn it by helping your readers. To earn credibility online you need to have answers of these three questions.

Who is your target Audience?

What problems they are facing?

What kind of products they are searching desperately?

If you feel that you are capable of answering these three questions through your blog and can provide them with the valuable information, tool that can make their lives easier then you can easily gain some credibility.

Be prepared to work hard, remain honest and have faith in yourself. Always be ready to help your readers, provide them with enough channels to interact with you and try to develop a bond of trust with your readers.

According to me every blogger should just ask what kind of problems they solve through their blogs. Why should people trust then?  And if they can’t find answers to these questions then they would not be able to make any money blogging.

  5. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
