These plugins work really well, but I still have a huge issue with them all. They just don't give enough information about which features do what and why I would even want to elect the suggested features in the first place.

SEO Inc designed a plugin called SEO Nova which paints a more clear picture of why you need certain functionality enabled and what the best practices are every function offered. I thought I throw that out there :)

Thanks for yet another first-rate article. I am always searching for super WordPress tips to recommend to my own readers. Thank you for making this article. It’s exactly what I was searching for. Truly terrific post.

  27. This is a really great post. Loads of really useful SEO Plugin information for the WordPress Blogger.

However like laxpb11, I to have simple understanding and configuration issues with a lot of these plugins.

Most often a WordPress plugin is used to extend (or insert) specific functionality to the WordPress core and are normally used by WordPress users of modest technical ability (like me).

If a Plugin is not well documented, i.e. offering details of what each of its configuration attributes bring to the WordPress Blog, the Plugin is pretty useless for the technically challenged user.

What a pity that once a brilliant programmer has crafted a brilliant WordPress plugin, they get to tired to craft brilliant documentation to go with it.

I’d be willing to document any plugin if a creator asks me to as I’d like to be the change I am seeking.

  28. All in one SEO pack as number one, I totally agree. It has everything that you need. The only thing that I dont like is the html-comments that´s beeing added in the header.

    – But that is something that you can live with!

The only thing I’d say is missing is ping optimiser and xml sitemap plug-ins.
