Creating a logo to represent a brand can be one of the most daunting challenges a designer can face. After all, the logo that you create forms a huge part of the company’s identity – it’s seen everywhere the company is, and features on their website, on their business cards, on letterheads and on their products. It’s one of the most visible aspects of a company there is, and so it’s hugely important that you get it right.
There’s also a whole host of techniques and design decisions that you can make – and because you’ve got such a small area to work with, every single detail and every single element that you include is amplified.One logo design style that I absolutely love is that of injecting some personality and warmth by using handwriting. A logo that makes use of handwriting often comes across as being much more personal and down-to-earth, and it can add an element of uniqueness and style that simply isn’t possible with out-of-the-box typefaces.
I’ve brought together some examples of my favourite logo designs that use custom lettering and handwriting to add a certain something. These are all designs that are fresh, new and creative and I hope that you find them a useful source of inspiration for your next logo design project.
