A app for java based phones definitely worth looking at is “Twitter Mobile” http://www.twittermobile.co.uk , offers many of the twitter features along with some extras. Allows viewing of public and personal timelines including friends and followers. Has a “Map View feature which allows you to track your friends anywhere around the world as they post comments on Twitter. Includes Direct message and @Replies. This is probably the best looking Java app and rather easy to use.
